When it comes down to our health, there are a lot of things impacting it that are outside of our control. That’s the sad fact about life in general. But what is in our control is what we put into our bodies. The more we eat healthy things, the better off our health will be in the long term. If we had to choose 5 healthy foods to recommend adding to your diet, these are them:

1. Bone broth.

Broth from grass fed bison or beef contains a large quantity of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E, crucial for long term good health.

2. Leafy greens.

Spinach is my favorite. Kale, spinach, and nettles have the highest concentration of potassium, vitamin C, and vitamin E.

3. Almond and walnut butter.

Nut butters are righ in protein, calcium, omega-3 fatty acids, B vitamins, and more.

4. Coconut oil.

Coconut oil is one of my favorites! You can cook with it, add it to your smoothies, or take it in supplement form. Coconut oil contains vitamin E, healthy fats, and has antibacterial properties.

5. Avocados.

Avocados contain healthy fats, omega fatty acids, antioxidants, promote blood sugar regulation, and have anti-inflammatory properties.
